Guest Post: Women in Ministry

Ed Cyzewski's Women in Ministry Series has been such a gift to the Church - so many inspiring stories, though also far too many that are also heartbreaking. I am honored to be today's contributor.
 The DJ was visibly shocked.  
 The waiters had finished setting the buffet tables and had given the high sign to the wedding party – dinner was served. The DJ invited the pastor to come forward to bless the meal, and, since I was the pastor, I popped out of my seat near the front of the reception hall and walked to the dais, hand outstretched to take the microphone. Only, the DJ had frozen, mouth agape, staring at me.
"You’re the pastor?” he exclaimed.

  1. I love being in a church with a young female pastor! We have had many female pastors over the years but our current one adds such a fresh new dimension to every aspect of our church as I'm sure you do to yours. I would point out that you probably find almost as many people incredulous at your age and youthful appearance as the fact that you are a female in a pastor position. thanks for the great post!
